Players have taken to the forums mentioning joystick drifting issues, unresponsive buttons, sticking buttons, and even signs that the product had been used/dropped. Many gamers pointed out that they have replaced the controller several times, within the 3-month warranty period.

What are the new warranty terms?

Under the circumstances, the warranty coverage period for Elite Series 2 controllers has been extended from 90 days to 1 year from the date of purchase. The extension applies retroactively for Elite Series 2 controllers sold to date. Additionally, before end-October 2020, Microsoft will refund users who paid repair costs for faulty controllers. Users have started complaining about hardware issues with this model of games controller ever since the launch, more than one year ago. Microsoft has acknowledged the problems, without, however, offering solutions. Despite all the trouble and if you had second thoughts about the best game controller to buy, Xbox Elite Series 2 is still the top one on the market. At least now you benefit from an extended warranty. So, what do you say? Do you want to take a chance and boost your gaming experience with this controller or prefer to stay on the safer side with older models?
