New Intel drivers

Users claim that it seems the updates include new Intel drivers and a new Surface system firmware update for the Surface Book 2. Reports also say that the very same updates rolled out to the Surface Pro and the Surface Laptop as well. There are also some devices that haven’t been updated just yet, and these include the Surface Laptop, the Surface Book 2, and the Surface Pro. There aren’t any pages that document updates for these systems yet.

The updates might cause trouble with BitLocker

It seems that the latest update might have caused some BitLocker problems, but this could have only been an isolated issue. Many users reported that the latest firmware update for the Surface Book 2 locked them out of their devices with BitLocker. Some users claimed that this is the exact reason for which they haven’t activated BitLocker on their systems. Some users also find it pretty strange that whenever Microsoft releases a new Windows version, the company also has to update the firmware in their own systems to fix the problems that have been triggered in the latest OS version, but we’re all used to this by now. More changelogs are probably on their way and also more devices running Windows 10 April 2018 Update will likely receive updates rather sooner than later, and we’ll make sure you’ll find out when this happens.
