Google Chrome is currently the most popular browser in the world, but Microsoft still doesn’t seem to have accepted this fact.

Microsoft’s planning to force Edge on users

Instead, the company is planning to introduce a new Windows 10 Mail app feature that will definitely annoy many users. Well, when you’ll click on a link you received in an email, Windows 10 will automatically open it in the Edge browser. So, even if Chrome is your default browser, Windows 10 will simply ignore this fact and will open the respective link in Edge. Microsoft offered more details about this change in its latest Windows 10 build blog post: The tech giant motivates this choice by underlining Edge’s built-in features for reading, note-taking, Cortana integration, and easy access to SharePoint, OneDrive and other services. The company believes that Edge enables users to be more productive and creative, all while enjoying excellent battery life and browsing security. If you don’t like the idea of Windows 10 opening your email links in Edge, then hurry up and send your feedback to Microsoft. We are sure that Microsoft will receive a lot of negative feedback over this change. Hopefully, the company will take users’ opinion into account and will give up on implementing this change in the upcoming OS versions. RELATED STORIES TO CHECK OUT:
