Rephrasing Lenovo’s press release

The company probably freaked out and replaced the sentence. The initial one was stating that “…requires Windows 10 Fall Creators Update which will automatically update starting October 17, 2017.” and now the current sentence says that “Cortana with far-field voice-recognition technology supports up to 4 meters away and in standby mode, requires Windows 10 Fall Creators Update when available.” The important change is, of course, the part “when available.” Too late! Of course, Lenovo didn’t say why it updated the original press release. Who knows, maybe the date was not correct, or maybe the date was not at all set yet by Microsoft, and that’s why it was removed. We’ll probably never know. Still, maybe Microsoft just asked the company to remove the date because it was obviously not made official yet. Lenovo’s device will come with at least two features that will require the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. The built-in WorldView camera and the far-field voice recognition for Cortana.

The release of Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is approaching

Anyway, everyone expects that the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update will be released sometime during September/October. Microsoft still has to officially release a launch date for the Windows 10 Fall Creators update which will identify as version 1709. The version’s number may suggest it will be released on September 17th, but again, these are pure speculations. We will just have to be patient and see for ourselves when it will be released.
