- Install fails Many users reported they couldn’t install the latest Insider build as their computers reverted to the previous operating system. If you’re experiencing the same problem, here are a few quick workarounds to use:
Temporarily disable your antivirus software during the build download and install phase. Once you’ve installed the new build, enable your antivirus protection. Delete the files in the SoftwareDistribution\Downloads folder and then delete the $Windows.~BT folder as well. Run the Windows Update troubleshooter.
- Hyper-V VM won’t work If you can’t run Hyper-V VM after installing build 17704, you’re not the only one. Here’s how one user describes the problem:
- Extended desktop issues Some Insiders can’t use extended desktop on their computers. The second monitor displays only a dark screen. This brings us to the end of our list.
