Just like it was the case with previous Windows 10 Preview build (11082), the new build also doesn’t bring any noticeable changes to the system. But this was expected, as Microsoft’s Gabe Aul recently pointed out that “it will still be a few builds before any really noticeable changes show up”.
Windows 10 Preview Build 11097 Known Issues
The new build fixes some issues from the previous build, like the problem with “the progress dialog when copying or deleting files via File Explorer now showing up.” But it also brought some issues of its own. Here are the known issues of Windows 10 Preview build 11097, that appeared in the Insider Hub:
Log on for devices using Citrix XenDesktop may be broken. It is recommended that Insiders that use XenDesktop skip this flight by moving to the Slow ring. Applications that depend on Adobe Flash may crash upon launch. This will affect some version of Skype, QQ, WeChat, etc. This does not affect Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer. With this build, defaults for some applications will be reset. Music & Video will default to Windows Media Player. This can be reconfigured opening Cortana or Search and searching for “Choose default apps by file type” to open the correct settings page.
These are the only know errors in Windows 10 Preview build 11097 so far, but we’ll investigate for more, and we’ll update the article if some other issues (and possible fixes) are reported. People from Microsoft also pointed out that a next few Windows 10 Preview builds should be buggier than usual, but besides these errors, Windows 10 Preview build 11097 seems to be relatively stable. The build is available only for Windows Insiders from the Fast Ring, so if you don’t want to deal with these issues, you should switch to the Slow Ring, instead.
