It appears now that Microsoft is testing round corners in Windows Terminal. And with the latest rumors and references, it’s becoming clearer that this kind of design is desired to be a language standard alongside Sun Valley update.

Windows Terminal app rounded corners

These interface changes were first noticed in the Tips app for Windows 10 where Microsoft accidentally posted some screenshots. In the screenshots, which were deleted soon after being posted, we could see the Windows 10 app with a more attractive look and with rounded corners. As revealed by Microsoft in the mentioned leak, it seems that the Windows Terminal app is being tested for a design with rounded corners. At this point, we don’t know for sure if this change is aimed exclusively at internal builds of Terminal or if it will be implemented for that matter with the Windows 10 Sun Valley Update. Although we have seen some screenshots and even if the rumors are floating around everywhere this does not necessarily mean Microsoft will go as intended since things can change a lot along the way. However, this fresh look seems to have cached the interest and enthusiasm for many and we are curious to see the following developments as well, especially since it was hinted at since 2019. What do you think about these rumors regarding round corners updates? We always welcome your thoughts so don’t hesitate to leave us a comment in the designated section bellow.
