Unfortunately, it appears that this is only the tip of the iceberg as more and more users are reporting the Anniversary Update isn’t backing up their files. Users are complaining that the latest Windows 10 version resets their File History settings. The File History feature is used for backing up the files in the Documents, Music, Pictures, Videos, and Desktop folders and the OneDrive files available offline on user PCs. File History allows users to restore files and folders if the originals are lost, damaged, or deleted. You can also browse and restore different versions of your files.
