Similarly, during Microsoft Build 2020, the company announced impressive features coming to the browser, including Pinterest integration. Notwithstanding all these enhancements, multiple bugs causing problems to users may slow the journey to success for the Chromium-based browser. Some users are now reporting particularly undesirable Edge behavior: automatically launching on startup. Microsoft has confirmed that it has the Edge dev team looking into the problem, though.

Microsoft Edge automatically running on startup

Adding programs to the Windows 10 system startup folder should work in your favor when you need to quickly get started on your everyday workflows and tasks. But in the case of Edge, the browser may auto-launch on startup even if you haven’t configured it to do that. Microsoft adds that it’s not aware of any other erratic behavior associated with the auto startup bug in Edge. Keep in mind that different versions of the browser have this problem. As the dev team looks into the bug, Microsoft invites you to help with the debugging process. Some technical skills, especially with the command prompt, will come in handy here. You typically need to run a couple of cmd commands to diagnose the bug, and save your findings to a file. You may then submit the diagnostic data via the Edge feedback tool. Hopefully, the next Edge update fixes this bug once and for all. Have you had any trouble with the new Microsoft Edge, especially after logging into Windows 10?
