Microsoft’s Principal Program Manager Lead, Ben Armstrong announced the news on his official Twitter account. He acknowledged this is indeed a delayed release. However, he didn’t explain the reason for the delay.

They can take advantage of the new features to improve performance. Microsoft released Windows Server 2019 on Oct. 2, 2018. Hyper-V Server 2019 was expected to be released at around the same time due to its association with Windows Server. However, it has been delayed for more than eight months. As a matter of fact, there were multiple problems that were responsible for the delay. A bug affected installation media and some issues were noticed related to Remote Desktop Protocol. Apparently, some Windows users have doubts about the quality of the recent version due to the delayed release. Reddit users discussed the importance of Hyper-V Server 2019. Microsoft recommends IT admins and developers that they should uninstall the original version of Hyper-V Server 2019.
