The best anime games for Xbox One

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm is the final installment of the STORM series. It brings a lot to the table when it comes to fighting games in the Naruto universe. The plot develops around the Fourth Great Ninja war and the Story Mode will lead you trough the game in a great way. The Story Mode can be completed for something over 20 hours. We have to give the developers credit for trying to get the game closer to newcomers and involve them in an amazing narrative of it. Free fights and boss fights look great. Once you complete the Story Mode, you will surely try out Adventure Mode. This gives you the opportunity to, like in common RPG titles, do fetch quests and unlock battles from the past. Even new players will get into the basics in no time, but for the online mode, it is preferable to get some tactical knowledge. Matchmaking is a bit awkward, and sometimes you will encounter experienced players even as a beginner. All in all, a great game for all the fans of the franchise, but also for newcomers and battle games enthusiasts.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Did someone mention a fighting game in the anime universe? Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is just the game you may be looking for. By the look of it, this game is a combination of past few Dragon Ball games with 3D gameplay and fights that are set in the destructible environment. Character customization is vastly improved, so you can choose between many physical options of different in-game races. And every race has its pros and cons. There are 4 game modes:

Universe Mode – Story mode that enables you to create and RPG-like customizes your own character called Future Warrior. Parallel Quest Mode – Side quest mode that let you do certain missions for obtaining special items. Saga Mode – Give you the opportunity to change the course of history from original Saga epic battles. Tenkaichi Budokai Mode – Tournament mode that enables you to fight or spectate in online fights

This game is for sure worth playing if you are a fan of the Dragon Ball Saga. Nevertheless, newcomers may learn a lot about the universe and truly enjoy a brilliant gameplay and delightful story.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist

Now we move to one card dueling game. If you like the original TV series – you’ll probably love this game. On the other side, if this universe is new to you, it is at least worth trying. As we already said, this game emerges from the TV series, so you can relive famous battles. Over 90 selectable characters and 6.600 playing cards, with some decks that are quite hard to obtain. You can play against A.I. or duel other players online. As you win, you will gain new cards and Duel Points that will let you unlock cards from special Booster Packs. SPONSORED As the story moves forward, you will subtly get more and more involved in the Yu-Gi-Oh world and learn about gameplay and the duel tactics. Downloadable content brings a lot of new cards, characters, and history duels. At the time game can be quite intense, but, at the same time, winning a hard duel is more rewarding. Great addition to the Card Battle games list. Indeed worth a while.

Attack on Titan

Let’s say we live our normal, human lives in harmony and joy, and suddenly a wild, enormous giants appear and try to feast on us. Scary, if you ask me. Havoc emerges and the war to blood enemies is declared. This is basically the story of manga TV series that are very popular in Japan. It is called ‘Attack on Titan’ and not long ago we get to enjoy in the game with the same title. Hack and slash action pumped game closely follows events from all seasons of manga story, but also adds some plot to main characters. Basically, at the beginning,  you can choose from a list of 3 characters, with different traits and combat abilities. Later that number goes up to 10. Once the Attack (Story) Mode starts, you will learn about your way to slain your arch enemies using weapons and special maneuvering gear. Titans are diverse and challenging. Sometimes you may need to use tactical approach instead of just taping prompted buttons. This game will get you into the storyline of the manga series and let you be involved in the battle to extinction. You will enjoy every bit of it.

Final Fantasy XV

Final Fantasy series may not be related to anime in its purest form but, as a great admirer of the series, I was obligated to enlist it here. Still, production of this title brought an anime  ‘Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV’, so that, kind of makes it eligible for this list after all. Final Fantasy XV is a role-playing game that emphasizes an open-world gameplay. For the first time, battles are fought in real-time and free-roaming is vastly upgrade to past games. You control Noctis, the main protagonist on his way through the world of Eos. In short words, the game is a variation of weapons, magic attacks, and potions, with splendidly designed foes. Mainly, Final Fantasy XV continues by the same recipe: amazing storyline and brilliant cut-scenes in boss battles that will make you watch in awe. This were the games we selected for you. We hope you will enjoy at least one of the titles. What are your favorite anime games of all time? Do you have anything that is worth adding to the list? Please inform us in the comments.
