The king of ports

The device has been branded as the king of ports and addresses a major weakness of the Surface Pro with 1 USB-C Thunderbolt 3 port, one regular USB Type-C port, two regular USB ports, a 3.5 mm port for audio and a microSD card reader. The device also comes with a 48Wh battery which can provide 12 hours of battery life. The Eve V weighs less than a kilo and measures 8.9mm.

Similarities with Microsoft’s Surface Pro line

Judging solely by features and specs, the Eve V is better than the Surface Pro 4 considering you’re spending the same amount of money. The Eve V boasts a better value than the Surface Pro and offers a keyboard, pen and a magnetic sleeve for $799. At the same price, the Surface Pro has only half of its RAM and lack the sleeve and pen. The device includes Intel’s 7th gen Core i7/i5/m3 processors. You will get up to 16GB of LDDRP3 RAM with the Eve V and up to 512GB of internal storage (128GB and 256GB alternatives are both available) along with a 12.3-inch IGZO LCD panel with a resolution of 2736×1284 pixels protected by Gorilla Glass and coated in an anti-reflective layer. While you won’t be able to get Windows Hello’s face recognition feature on the Eve V, it boasts a fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button of the device.

Eve V is nearing production

The device has been in development for quite some time now and is now approaching production. It is expected to start shipping on June 10th, which is pretty close to the May date originally predicted in its crowdfunding campaign from last year. The device is also expected to be part of Microsoft’s Computex keynote. RELATED STORIES TO CHECK OUT:
