Recently, Microsoft released updates for its educational apps and services. The tech giant aims to help educators and students with updates for OneNote, Minecraft Education Edition and more.  Now, the company announced a new feature for Office 365 users. The simpler sign-on feature simplifies the sign-in process for education customers. In other words, students can use their Google credentials to sign in to Microsoft Office 365. Today many schools in the US use Google services. These schools wanted to use Google apps along with some Office 365 apps. However, it was difficult for their students to remember two separate passwords for both Microsoft and Google accounts. Using too many passwords? No need to remember them all. Install a password manager on your PC. Microsoft decided to ease the problem for those students based on the feedback. They can now use their Google credentials to sign in to Immersive Reader and OneNote. Microsoft explains the feature in its blog post. The new feature is part of Microsoft’s efforts to encourage the Education community to use its products and services. The company says this is “A new step in bringing Microsoft tools to Google schools“. The simpler sign-on feature is currently in the preview period. If your students are also experiencing a similar situation, you can visit the Deployment Support page to join the waitlist.
