Sadly, the Competitive Play option will not be available during this free event, nor will any unlockables. trophies or other achievements, rendering all the progress made during this free trial event, such as loot boxes you obtain, levels you complete, sprays, skins, voice lines, and any unlockables from the Hero Gallery, won’t be saved. You will be able to save them, though, if you decide to buy the game. Only then you will be allowed to continue the journey exactly from where you left off. If you’re using a PlayStation 4, note that you will not need a PlayStation Plus subscription in order to play the game next weekend. You just have to search for “Overwatch” in the PS Store, choose “Overwatch Free Weekend”, and download the title, a download that will take up 9GB of space. Xbox One players are slightly disadvantaged here since they will have to be Xbox Live Gold members in order to be able to download this game for free, not to mention the game will take up 15GB. Overwatch was named the best-selling video game in June 2016, just a few of months after its release.
