Many Chrome users already backed up the idea, suggesting this definitely should happen, as it’s “the logical progression of things“. As we already stated, although this thread goes back to 2015, recent posts suggest that Google finally agreed to integrate this feature in its upcoming browser versions: This new feature is currently available only on Chromium. However, users expect it to land in Chrome Canary in a few hours or days’ time. This means that Chrome beta could support this feature in the coming months.

Google didn’t rush to take this decision
