The first change in the latest build is the revamped Blu-ray icon. The new icon is now more consistent with the other drive icons in Windows 10 and fits better in the overall environment. Besides the revamped Blu-icon, the new build also changes the way the network Quick Action in the Action Center looks. The new icon represents “an entry point to the network flyout (previously, it was a generic globe icon),” and it associates more plainly with the look of a Wi-Fi network.
All these design changes are actually barely visible and there’s a chance you won’t even notice. However, we thought it was worth mentioning because Microsoft continues to consolidate the look of Windows 10 before the Anniversary Update, and every change could turn out as an important one. New icons and the slightly re-designed Settings app are only design changes that Microsoft brings with the latest Preview build for Windows 10. Other aspects of the update were mainly focusing on bringing new features and improving existing ones. As for these feature changes, Microsoft brings the LastPass extension to Edge, improved Bash on Ubuntu on Windows, and improved Ink features. All these new features and design changes are currently available to Windows Insiders only. Microsoft will probably deliver all of them, including others that have yet to be revealed, with the Anniversary Update for Windows 10, which should be released next month.
