Reportedly, the operating system will also feature an enhanced game mode allowing users to play games on PC using an Xbox controller. For those users focused on productivity, Microsoft is expected to roll out a so called ‘quiet mode‘. This mode could eliminate many of the distractions and unnecessary elements preventing you from completing your tasks as soon as possible. The Redmond giant could also add a ‘kids’ mode‘. Although not much information is available about this mode, rumors suggest this could be a simplified tablet mode.
CShell makes the UI more flexible
Since this adaptable OS will run a on variety of devices, Microsoft thought about it all. The company is reportedly working on a new Windows Shell that will allow users to scale the UI so as to fit better on their displays. So, whether you’re using a tablet, PC or Xbox console, the OS will fully adapt to your hardware configuration.
A new Windows 10 Mobile OS version?
We all know that Windows 10 Mobile is dead and Microsoft already admitted that. However, these recent rumors seem to suggest that when it comes to mobile devices, Microsoft simply changed and adapted its strategy. Perhaps, this adaptive OS and the new CShell feature will make Windows 10 appealing to phone owners as well. As a matter of fact, the tech giant is reportedly developing a new Windows 10 version named Polaris that will allow users to fully take advantage of the CShell feature. Could Polaris be a new Windows 10 Mobile version? Only time will tell. Many suggest that the Surface Hub 2 will be the first device to feature the new modular Windows 10.
