You won’t simply be able to opt out

It also seems that this is not a feature that you will simply be able to opt out of. Instead, it will be an ad that’s bundled into the application that nobody can get rid off. This could trigger users to give up on the app entirely if such a thing will happen. For the moment, this may seem the best idea or solution for most ad haters, and it’s also very unusual for an app that’s developed by Redmond for an OS designed by them as well to include built-in ads.

Let’s hope Microsoft ditches the idea

For the sake of the app, we hope that this is just an experimental feature and it will not be implemented eventually. Anyway, if Microsoft plans to release the feature to all Windows 10 users, the Mail app’s user base will definitely decline numerically especially considering the vast number of email clients that are available out there for free and without any annoying ads implemented in their UI. Many users already shared their thoughts about this on Reddit: This is not even the most controversial change that Microsoft is planning for the Mail app. Let’s not forget that Microsoft has recently revealed that users will be forced to open links in Microsoft Edge and not in their third-party browsers that are set as their default. This was for sure another disturbing news coming from Redmond. RELATED STORIES TO CHECK OUT:
