LG found a solution by redesigning the UltraFine 5K monitor so that it can now manage being placed near a Wi-Fi router. Additionally, the interference problem no longer affects units produced after February since the company included enhanced shielding in the the monitor. If you previously purchased an UltraFine 5K Display, however, you must contact LG’s support team for help. The UltraFine 5K Display is supposed to be the best companion to the 2016 MacBook Pro, but the need to equip the device with enhanced shielding seems to uncover hardware flaws in UltraFine 5K Display’s electrical system. More specifically, reports claim insufficient isolation in the monitor’s electrics.

Fixing the interference problem

After the problem cropped up last week, LG has now advised its customers to just place the monitor two feet away from a router. The solution is not practical in all instances, though. LG stated: It remains to be seen whether the solution does fix the issue. Share your thoughts! RELATED STORIES YOU NEED TO CHECK OUT:
