  2. Right click an open area on the taskbar (situated on the lower side of the screen) and select from there “Properties” by left clicking on it. 3. Left click on “Navigation” tab on the upper side of the “Taskbar and navigation properties” window. 4. Under the “Start screen” portion of the window check the box next to the “Go to the desktop instead of Start when I sign in”. 5. Click “OK” on the lower side of the “Taskbar and navigation properties” window. 6. Reboot the computer in order for the changes to take effect. If you are stuck in the tile screen and you want to get your desktop back, you need to turn off tablet mode. So, click on the notifications icon which is located by the clock (you should find a square box) and then click on the tablet mode button. You should now be off tablet mode.
