The game offers new modes for you to try out related  to the Survival genre but also putting a focus on creativity. These allow players to change up the pace and play from a different perspective, all while still playing the game they have come to love. The Foundation Update allows players to take the role of an entrepreneur of sorts as you employ aliens to work for you and upgrade your gear, but also grow your influence on the planets you visit. You can set up farms and grow resources which can be re-invested in other parts of the game. When too many resources stack up and the deposit storage runs low, there’s also the option of buying bigger ships to carry all the equipment or materials put away for keeping. While the original No Man’s Sky experience gave off a galactic traveler vibe, the new expansion will bring forth the option of changing your status to that of “Settler” or “local”. The game will now allow you to set up camp permanently wherever you choose. The title of the expansion strongly reflects its “settling down” nature, encouraging players to take a step back and start managing or taking advantage of the fruits of their labor and travels from a base of operations. No Man’s Sky officials are claiming this is just the beginning and that players have not seen the biggest expansion project that the developers can offer. Luckily for them, the game’s entire structure allows for a healthy flow of updates that won’t deteriorate the quality of the experience. RELATED STORIES TO CHECK OUT:
