The reason why this error shows up is that Windows 10 Technical Preview needs 16GB of free disk space, and if you have just a little bit more than 16GB of free disk space, you won’t be able to install new apps or programs, which your system doesn’t like and you’ll get this error message until you free some space. I can’t tell you how much free space you exactly need, because it depends on the size of your hard drive. Another reason for getting the error 0xC1900101 – 0x20005 is that your computer is not fully compatible with the new Windows, which might be the case if you’re using an older machine. So, before you decide to download Windows 10 Technical preview, make sure that your computer is completely compatible with it and that you have enough free disk space.
