A better browsing experience with new features

In the April 2018 Update, when you hear an unwanted audio playing in your browser, all you have to do is press This tab is playing media and you’ll turn off/on the audio. Another great new feature is that Microsoft edge can now remember your name, credit card details, and other info when you’re signed in with your Microsoft account. You won’t have to bother completing forms ever again.

With the latest update, you will also be able to enjoy a better reading experience with various grammar tools and better annotations. The update brings enhanced support for touchpad gestures as well man more features that you’ll be able to read about in Microsoft’s official announcement.

Improved performance and power efficiency

Microsoft made a lot of improvements to the Edge browser in order to enhance its responsiveness. Input responsiveness is the main element that makes the browser feel fast even when you’re dealing with heavy websites and running on a busy system. The improvements will add more battery life for Microsoft Edge compared to other previous versions of the browser.

Resources will be used more intelligently from now on. For instance, when a tab is open for a long time, this reduces performance and battery life. Now, Microsoft Edge is able to prioritize the user experience and it will suspend background tabs after you don’t interact with them for a while. There are a lot more exciting new features that are coming to Microsoft Edge and we strongly recommend that you read about all of them on Microsoft’s blog post. RELATED STORIES TO CHECK:
