Project NEON

For those unfamiliar with Project NEON, this is Microsoft’s new design language for Windows 10 apps that recently appeared in the Groove and Movies and TV apps. Some images of how NEON looks like have already leaked in January, but the most recent reveal a much cleaner interface. According to the company, all these UI revisions are part of the Redstone waves.

Dropbox UWP app

As we have already said above, the Dropbox app is being developed by Rudy Huyn, well-known by Windows Phone fans as he is a long-time supporter of Windows Phone and Windows 10. He has independently developed more Windows Phone apps for many popular services and he is now working at Dropbox. The Dropbox app is already a great UWP app and some might even say that it’s better even than Microsoft’s OneDrive app. It’s good news that the Dropbox development team is taking into consideration this type of approach to Windows 10. The app feels much faster than before and also features some cool animations. It’s available on PC and has also been optimized for the Xbox One. The app allows users to take their docs, photos, and videos anywhere they desire and share them with ease. Any file that has been saved to Dropbox can be easily accessed from all your PCs, phones, tablets, and from the web. Users can already download the Dropbox UWP app. Remember that you won’t get to see the New NEON UI if your PC is running a different OS that the Windows 10 Creators Update.
