Another step towards that dream has occurred recently: Microsoft launched Desktop Bridge, which allows developers to convert desktop applications into modern apps and bring them to the Windows Store. Developers who don’t have enough resources to create new Universal apps can use Desktop Bridge, a process that allows them to quickly convert desktop apps into modern apps using the Desktop Bridge Converter tool. In addition, they are able to enhance their converted applications by adding modern functionalities such as Cortana, notifications, and Live Tiles. So far, there are many awesome applications that have been created for Windows 10, 8.1, 8 and 7 that can’t be installed on mobile devices and whose developers can’t afford to use the Universal Windows Platform method to create a new Universal app. So, Microsoft came up with a solution in the form of Desktop Bridge, which makes things easier for developers to bring their apps to the Store without knowing code. At this point, from the Windows Store you can download the following apps that have been converted with Desktop Bridge: Arduino IDE, doubleTwist, Evernote, korAccount, MAGIX Movie Edit Pro, PhotoScape, Predicted Desire, Relab, SQL Pro, Virtual Robotics Kit and Voya Media. In the coming months, more apps will be added. There are many benefits to using Desktop Bridge.
