Meet the AOC Agon 3 AG273QCX FreeSync 2 monitor

The monitor is a 27-inches curved panel with 1440p resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. HDR or High Dynamic Range technology used in the forthcoming monitor will make it possible to create more realistic and dynamic images. It will dim the areas where colors are usually darker. At the same time, it will brighten the other parts where there is more white. The translates into more vivid and natural colors. Even if AOC uses a TN panel, the picture quality might give IPS a run for its cash thanks to HDR. The response time of curved monitors which were IPS or VA was not that great until now as there was always some blurring involved. Now, the curved panels from AU Optronics can allow 0.5ms response time. The monitor will also support a wide color gamut and AMD’s latest adaptive sync tech called FreeSync 2.

AOC’s Agon 3 G-Sync monitor

AOC will also launch AG273QCG which is a similar monitor included in the AGON 3 lineup and which will use Nvidia’s G Sync technology. The G-Sync version will not feature the HDR capability, but it will have a faster panel of 165Hz with VA technology which is a more color accurate one.

Pricing

These monitors will go on sale next year in April. The FreeSync 2 version will be priced at $715, and the G0Sync one will be priced at $835. RELATED STORIES TO CHECK OUT:
