Windows Defender pulls the highest market share
The General Manager of Microsoft ATP security research, Tanmay Ganacharya stated: However, every good thing comes with its consequences, and the 50% market share brings some problems as well. This means that Windows devices running Windows Defender are more prone to attacks. The consequences of large scale malware attacks are not hard to imagine. Such hacking attempts could affect billions of systems running Windows 10 and Windows 8. Hence, Microsoft should keep on improving Windows Defender in order to avoid major security problems.
